History

LE-AL was originally formed in 1933 and traded as a furniture retailer. It was in the late 1950’s that this family owned business saw an opportunity to manufacture Antique Reproduction office furniture. The business grew steadily through the latter part of the century building a world-wide reputation as one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of reproduction furniture. All LE-AL products are manufactured here in the UK at our Stockport factory just outside Manchester.

Skilled Workforce

The wood veneering manufacturing process demands highly skilled tradesmen with decades of experience in veneering, inlaying, cabinet making and polishing. In addition to wood veneering LE-AL is unique in that we also manufacture, in house, all our own upholstered seating products. LE-AL combines all these traditional skills with continued investment in state of the art plant, machinery and IT to ensure that we produce the best possible quality products within realistic lead times. Our lead time from order to completion has never exceeded 6 weeks.

Customisation

LE-AL is totally committed to providing customers with a real choice. We have developed a wide range of standard products over many years including desks, cabinets, tables and display / storage furniture and seating. These standard products may be customised to meet the precise requirements of the end user. In addition to being able to specify the size and configuration of our standard products, customer choice can include a wide choice of real wood veneers.

International Reputation

LE-AL’s furniture can be found across the world in the executive offices of both public and private sector organisations and institutions. Our furniture can be seen in such diverse locations as the HQ of a major North Sea Oil service company in Aberdeen to a 4 Star Generals Offices in Europe to the Stock Exchange in Kuwait City.
